"Hunkin's Water Clock is set midway along Southwold’s refurbished pier. This quirky, animated metal sculpture celebrates each hour with water percolating downwards via showers, a bath, cisterns, men peeing and finally watering tubs below. From which upspring tulips. Coins which can be thrown into the base reservoir are collected for Water Aid. The grey, weather-beaten metal is often in subtle contrast to colour of the sky, sea and the wooden planks of the pier."
